Konami of America Inc., today announced that NBA STARTING FIVE has shipped to stores nationwide. The latest hoops game from Konami, NBA Starting Five is now available for the PlayStation 2 at an SRP of $39.99, while the Xbox edition is set to ship on October 29th at an SRP of $49.99.

Midway Games Inc. a leading software industry publisher and developer, announced today that Metropolis recording act - KMFDM - and Black Black recording act - Trigger - have provided videogame-exclusive songs for Defender, an all-new 3-D version of the popular 1980s arcade classic. Defender is currently in development and scheduled to ship October 21, 2002, for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, with releases for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft, Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance to follow in November 2002.

LucasArts is pleased to announce that Star Wars: The Clone Wars for GameCube has been approved for manufacturing and is expected to be in stores on October 29th. In Star Wars: The Clone Wars players take on the roles of Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu, and Obi-Wan Kenobi as they lead the Republic army in the Clone Wars, all in the hopes of stopping the Separatists from assembling an ancient Sith weapon.
