Just noticed over at Blue's News that Codemasters has now released the playable demo of Operation Flashpoint: Resistance, available for download from FilePlanet. The download size is unknown as this point, but the demo contains two new missions not included with the retail version of Bohemia's tactical shooter add-on, and "In one you'll play as the commander of an infantry squad and in the other as a member of the squad. Your mission is to neutralise the enemy forces in a small area of the new island." (Thanks Blues)

Techland announced last week that the single player demo of its upcoming title will not be released at this point. Techland decided to focus on finishing Chrome – the biggest Polish game production. The game is close to a beta version, which should be reached in 1.5 month. The work on the missions, game logic and graphics accelerates as the team is increasingly motivated by the upcoming deadline.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell will release in time for the lucrative Christmas 2002 market exclusively on Xbox, with a PC version to appear by the end of the year. Xbox is the lead development platform for the game, which has been designed to take full advantage of the advanced graphics and sound capabilities of Xbox. Simon & Schuster let us know a few days ago that the game went gold and that we can expect it in stores within the next week, today Blue's News and 3D Gamers offer the playable demo of Farscape the Game, giving you the opportunity to try out this imminent 3D top-down action game by Red Lemon Studios that's based on the popular sci-fi TV series. The demo clocks in at a modest 63.6 MB and contains an intro movie, a training level, and a part of the full game where you get to control team members John Crichton and Chianna (thanks Blues).
