'Battlefield 1942' - Tournament

The people over at the Clan World Network send over a note to let everybody know they are opening their Battlefield 1942 tournament section. Next Friday, March 8, 2003, we will be hosting our first 8vs8 conquest teams tournament. Clans are encouraged to read the rules and sign-up on the Clan Tourney website.

'Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield' - Demo Coming Next Week

Noticed on VE3D that Ubisoft will be releasing a single player demo for Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield next week. Here's what it will contain:

  • 16 weapons are available (M12, Mac11/9, MP5A4, MP5K PDW, MP5SD5, P90, Uzi, AK-47, M1 shotgun, Dragunov, PSG-1, RPD, 92FS, AP ARMY and USP) and all of them can be equipped with weapon gadgets (Mini-Scope, High Capacity Magazine, Sound Suppressor or Thermal scope)
  • Single Player featuring the Oil Refinery mission.
  • Playable in all 4 Custom Mission modes (Practice, Terrorist Hunt, Lone Wolf and Hostage Rescue) with three levels of difficulty for each.

The game is developed on original high-tech engine The Firestarter Engine, which uses the possibilities of the latest accelerator generation GeForce3/4. Among the engine possibilities are work with outdoor and indoor areas, coloured dynamic lighting, dynamic shadows, vertex and pixel shaders, T&L, procedure textures, various classes of particle system-based effects, interactive and destructible level objects, realistic physics, high-polygonal character and monster models (up to 5000 of polygons), skeleton animation. Sony Online Entertainment announced that it is adding a new server to meet customer demand for EverQuest Online Adventures, exclusively for the PS2. The new server will allow thousands of new players to join the popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game where people create characters from a number of fantasy classes and meet people from the real world online as they embark on exciting adventures in a vast virtual world. The new server is scheduled to go online Friday, March 7, before noon Pacific Standard Time.
