Judge Dredd vs. Judge Death is based on the legendary comic strip Judge Dredd, published in 2000AD every week since 1977. It will be a first-person shooter seen through the eyes of Judge Dredd as he patrols the mean streets of the stunningly realised future metropolis, Mega-City One. Dredd will find himself having to deal with the full spectrum of criminal behaviour, from littering and caffeine abuse to saving the city from the utterly evil Judge Death. After several beta patches, Focus Interactive and Cyanide Studio has finally released the new patch for their recent cycling simulation game, Cycling Manager 3. This upgrade brings your retail game to v1.1 and fixes various bugs, improves AI, adjusts some ratings, fixes a few editor problems, etc.

Vivendi has sent out their "Tolkien Update Letter" and most notable is the fact that their upcoming RTS game "War of the Ring" is "the game is looking so good that the ship date has been moved from the first quarter of 2004 to this holiday! The team at Liquid Entertainment is doing a phenomenal job of bringing the epic scope of the battles of Middle-earth to life in this real-time strategy game." The letter also reveals a top-secret third gameplay type to accompany the frenetic action with Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli and the aggressive stealth mode with Gollum. Gamers will, for the first time ever, be able to take on the role of the giant Ent Treebeard in The Lord of the Rings: The Treason of Isengard. THQ has issued a demo for MotoGP2, the recently released motorcycle racing game by Climax. This demo features one complete knee-grazing quick race around the Seprang circuit. Atari Releases 'Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide'

DreamCatcher Games To Publish 'Enigma: Rising Tide'

DreamCatcher Games today announced that it will publish Enigma: Rising Tide, developed by Tesseraction Games, in North America. Controlling the battle at sea ultimately leads to a victory in any war, and Enigma: Rising Tide allows gamers to do just that. Battling as one of three factions (US, German or the League of Free Nations) players must control a naval fleet of destroyers, submarines, battleships or cruisers. Each commander must deploy suitable weapons to tackle an ever-evolving enemy, from deploying deck guns and torpedoes to launching hedgehogs, and depth charges.

Yahoo! Games Unleashes Unlimited Subscription Package For 'Games On Demand'

Electronic Arts today announced that The Sims Bustin' Out is in development for the GBA at the company's Walnut Creek-based Maxis studio in conjunction with Griptonite Games, an Amaze Entertainment Studio. For the first time, Game Boy Advance players will be able to experience the zany and unpredictable world of The Sims. Players will be able to take direct control of their Sim to explore all-new Game Boy Advance exclusive locations as they work their way from rags to riches. Activision Sues Viacom Over Star Trek Game License

Activision Inc. filed a breach of contract suit alleging media giant Viacom Inc. isn't adequately exploiting the Star Trek franchise, thereby diminishing the value of the video game developer's license to produce Star Trek-themed games. In 1998, Activision entered a 10-year licensing arrangement with Viacom that gave it exclusive rights to produce Star Trek titles across all gaming platforms.
