BioWare Corp. and Obsidian Entertainment, Inc. jointly announced a commitment to explore opportunities for collaboration in the development of PC and console games.

"BioWare is currently in the fortunate position of having more attractive looking opportunities on the table than we're capable of implementing while staying true to our fans' expectations of a quality gaming experience. Konami of America has announced that Silent Hill 3 for the PlayStation 2 has been shipped to stores in North America. The game will include a bonus soundtrack CD featuring music from the game. In Silent Hill 3, players must guide Heather Morris through a series of eerie environments that are overrun with dozens of nasty creatures ranging from split-headed zombie dogs to horribly mutated humanoids.

'Ghost Recon: Island Thunder' (XB) Ships

Ubi Soft has announced that Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Island Thunder has been shipped to stores in North America. Island Thunder is a stand-alone expansion that features 12 different game types as well as 12 multiplayer maps--four of which have been taken directly from the original version of Ghost Recon. Island Thunder also has full support for Xbox Live, allowing players to take squad-based shooting action online..
