'Microsoft Windows' Source Code Leaks Onto Internet

Microsoft Corp. said on Thursday that parts of the source code, or software blueprint, for its closely-guarded Windows programs had leaked onto the Internet, possibly exposing its products to hackers and illicit copying. Microsoft said that copies of the source code from its Windows NT and Windows 2000 operating systems were being traded over the Internet, but that the copies comprised a tiny portion of the millions of lines of code used to create its cash cow products.

'A.I.M.' - Demo Available NOW

A.I.M. is Skyriver's (published by 1C) action role-playing game unfolding in sci-fi universe inhabited by robots. Robots have just vague memories of people as creators of their world (that is in fact a huge military test zone). You will have to assume role of an AI robot traveling on a glider - special floating vehicle with antigravity engines. This demo lets you try out one "zone" from the full game.

'Mythica' Gets Cancelled

Based on a careful evaluation of the competitive MMORPG landscape, Microsoft Game Studios has decided to cancel the Windows-based game “Mythica.” As a result of this effort, job eliminations within Microsoft Game Studios will take place, and up to 40 employees may be impacted. Enlight announced today they have acquired the North American rights to release Nemesis of the Roman Empire (known in Europe as 'Celtic Kings The Punic Wars'). Painkiller - Demo Launches 16th February

DreamCatcher Games has today confirmed that the long-awaited demo of its first-person shooter, Painkiller, will be available for download around 2PM PST on February 16th. This single-player demo will feature 3 action-packed levels, including one that has never been seen before and will be 200MB. The Adventure Company has issues the demo for their recently released adventure game Jack the Ripper, giving you a chance to it try out part of the game (walkthrough included). Jack the Ripper is a “warp advanced game” that features the story of James Mortimer, a reporter of the “New York Today”, investigating on murders that strangely look like Jack the Ripper’s style in White Chapel 15 years earlier. 'Legacy of Kain: Defiance' - Update Patch Available NOW

Crystal Dynamics has released an unofficial patch for the North American edition of their third-person action adventure Legacy of Kain: Defiance. This patch brings your retail game to v1.1, in sync with the European editions. 'Oxygen Interactive' Reveals New Racing Title

Oxygen Interactive have signed leading racing-sim developer Brain In a Jar (previously known for Codemasters' Indy Car Series.) to develop an original Rally simulation. Due for completion in Q3, the game will be on the shelves ahead of Rally GB in September, on PS2 and PC. The game will include a selection of international stages, multi-player racing, accessible gameplay detailed physics and car-modelling.

Ballerium's Soundtrack

Majorem Ltd., developer of "Ballerium", today officially announced the performers to compose the music for the title. Majorem's announcement came as a surprise after previously signing up the well-known "Infected Mushroom" to compose the game's soundtrack.
