'Serious Sam II' - New Demo Coming On Monday

2K Games informed us that a second Serious Sam II demo will be released this Monday at 10 AM! The new level incorporates the recently released patch (fixing issues with the interface + multiplayer), and includes an additional level from the full game that can be played in both single and co-op multiplayer! For those who already have the full game, the level is "Greendale". We will of course have it available on our fileserver network at the aforementioned time.

'UFO: Aftershock' (Xbox/PC) - Demo Available NOW

UFO: Aftershock follows directly from one of the endings of UFO: Aftermath, where the player agrees to hand over the Earth to the Alien scientists, who are trying to change the planet into a giant living organism. The Council of Earth and their followers take refuge on an orbiting satellite prepared for them by the aliens, but not all the survivors of the original invasion where re-located. This demo features three missions situated in London, Paris and Stuttgart (thanks strategycore).

Gun will be a GTA-style game, set in the West in the 1880s, in cities such as Dodge City and New Mexico's Las Vegas. The murderous 'Dodge City Gang' has been on a rampage and you seek revenge, hunting them down between Indians and Mexican pistoleros. Main mode of transportation is any horse you can find or steal, and of course, Gun will include high speed "horse" pursuits.

Sony Releases v2.50 PSP Firmware

Sony has released yet another new update for its PSP firmware, bringing it to v2.50. Currently only valid for Japanese PSP's, Sony did release the previous v2.01 for its North American version. Unlike the previous update, the v2.50 does address more than just security flaws, and allows you to watch TV and movies remotely over the net through their LocationFree Base Station, view DRM protected files saved on Memory Stick Duos, save text from the Internet browser, and also set the date and time via the net.

EA and Steven Spielberg Working On Three Titles

In another example of the videogame industry teaming with Hollywood talent, Steven Spielberg has signed an agreement with Electronic Arts to create three original videogame franchises. Initial work has already begun on the first title, but EA is keeping it tightly under wraps, though speculation is that it will be in the sci-fi or action/adventure genre.
