Samsung Mass Producing X360's 512 Mb DDR3 Gfx Chips

Samsung Electronics announced today that it is the first supplier to mass produce graphic chips for the next generation of video games and that it has begun high-volume manufacturing of a 512-megabit graphics DDR3 memory chip for use in gaming consoles and personal computers.

Anchor Bay Announces PSP Movie Lineup

Anchor Bay Entertainment announced today its entrance into the Universal Media Disc (UMD) marketplace with six popular films. On August 23rd, the company will release Halloween, Evil Dead, Time Bandits, Blood the Last Vampire as well as Manga Entertainment’s Ghost in the Shell and Ninja Scroll on UMD. Each film will carry a suggested retail price of $19.98.

'Pirates of the Burning Sea' - 9 New Screens

Pirates is broadband only, with high-end hardware specifications for graphics -- a GeForce 3 or better is required in at least a 1GHz machine, and the game is optimized for the latest DirectX 9.0-class cards. Pirates is being published on-line directly to gamers using Valve's new Steam technology, the same delivery system used by Half-Life 2 and Counterstrike 2.

THQ today announced that it has entered into a worldwide publishing agreement with Gas Powered Games, founded by game design visionary, Chris Taylor. The two companies will work together on the RTS game Supreme Commander.
