'StarCraft' & 'Brood War' - v1.13 Patch Available NOW

As promised, Blizzard has released the promised patch for good old Starcraft, and its expansion pack Brood War. The v1.13 patch addresses a few well-known bugs that were used to perform in-game exploits, corrects display issues with the Korean Font and makes adjustments to the Player's in-game minimap. According to the latest forecasts from DFC Intelligence, the new video game console systems from Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony are expected to increase worldwide interactive entertainment software sales from about $18 billion in 2004 to about $26 billion in 2010. The forecasts have three independent scenarios for industry growth, a best case scenario for the PS3, Revolution and Xbox 360. Under each scenario, sales for interactive entertainment software surpass the $25 billion level in 2008.

The past few days rumors have been floating around the web about a possible Battle for Middle Earth sequel, and now it seems that Gamestop is adding to the speculations with a game listing making mention of 'Lord of the Rings: Tactics' for the PSP. Scheduled for November 1st, the action/adventure title seems to be a PSP exclusive and could be the first step into Square Enix territory who have been releasing Final Fantasy Tactics franchise in the past (thanks EvilAvatar).
