Sony has released a new v3.00 update for its PSP firmware, removing the UMD game auto-loading, but most importantly adding the ability to play PSOne games on your PSP, but only downloadable through the PS3s PlayStation Store. Nine titles will be available later today, including Resident Evil: Director's Cut, Hot Shots Golf 2 and Tekken 2. You will also be able to use the PSP to control the Blu-Ray and remote access media on your PS3 (music and photos).

Blue Dragon is an epic role-playing game that centers on a young boy named Shu and several of his friends. While the first title isn't even released yet, in an interview with Famitsu, Mistwalker's Hironobu Sakaguchi revealed that they intend to create a Blue Dragon franchise, thus assuring at least a sequel.
