PlayLogic Revenue Quadruples While Losses Mount

Playlogic has released its first quarter 2006 results, and while net revenue climbed 440% (from $0.5M to $2.7M), so did its operating loss ($0.56M to $1.2M), mainly due to higher selling, marketing, general and administrative expenses. PlayLogic is currently developing 11 titles spanning all platforms.

Nobilis announced Atlantis V, a new point and click adventure situated in the 1930s. You are Howard Brooks, a young aeronautic engineer who awakes on the Hindenburg zeppelin, investigating a strange vessel, one which will take you to the four corners of the earth, interacting with over 30 NPCs, and solving nearly a dozen puzzles.

'Age of Empires III' - v1.07 Patch Available NOW

Age of Empires III is an RTS set in 1500 A.D. and chronicles the Age of Discovery that started around the time that Columbus discovered the new world. Ensemble has released the manual version of the v1.07 which adds new features, fixes exploits, bugs, crashes and a new "The Uknown" map.

ArenaNet and NCsoft announce today that the studio's latest release, Guild Wars Factions, is now the top PC game in North America and Europe. NPD's weekly sales report showed Guild Wars Factions as the number-one-selling PC game for the weeks beginning April 23, 2006 and April 30, 2006.

CDV and DreamCatcher Sign Distribution Agreement

CDV has entered into two distribution agreements with DreamCatcher Inc. As part of this agreement, DreamCatcher will distribute Glory of the Roman Empire for CDV in North America. Additionally, CDV will exclusively distribute all German language versions of DreamCatcher’s upcoming 2006 video game titles in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Electronic Arts and the Jeep brand announced today that they have signed a deal that will give gamers a chance to experience Jeep vehicles in Medal of Honor Airborne as they were found in World War II. The classic Willys-Overland Jeep will appear for extended, action-packed sequences in several missions of Medal of Honor Airborne.

SiN Episodes Coming to Xbox 360 and PS3?

In an interview with Ain't It Cool News, Ritual's VP of development Tom Mustaine revealed that they are looking into bringing its episodic game to next-gen consoles. "We’re gunna do a 360 version at some point in the future. We haven’t finalized those plans yet so I haven’t really announced it yet. But we will be doing it. We also are hoping to be doing a PS 3 version as well. We were looking at Marketplace for the 360 because episodic on Marketplace would make a lot of sense."
