Paradox Interactive announced today that it will release a singleplayer demo for Stormregion's World War II RTS game this coming Friday. No details as to what its contents will be were revealed but we will have it available on fileserver network
as soon as it gets released.

Earlier today, EA released its fourth quarter financial results
, and while net revenue was $641 million, up from last year's $553 million, the overall result dropped from an $8 million profit to a $16 million loss. While numbers are boring, the subsequent conference call was not, as EA executives announced it is pushing back some of its heavy hitters. MoH Airborne moves from Q4 2006 to Q1 2007, SuperMan Returns will miss the movie launch this June and will be released at the end of the year with the DVD, while we won't be seeing Will Wright's Spore until at least April 2007.

Heavy Weapon is a classic arcade-style side-scrolling action game in which the player strives to defeat hordes of enemy armies in the form of tanks, jeeps, fighter jets, helicopters and other land- and air-based vehicles. PopCap Games announced that Heavy Weapon will be showcased in the Microsoft booth at E3 in Los Angeles next week, unveiling the new multiplayer mode.

GFI announced its lineup of titles for the E3 2006 in Los Angeles. On display will be a number of RTS products, action games, shooters and tactical games such as Officers, Jagged Alliance 3D, Warfare, and 4th Battalion, but also the previously unannounced Werewolves.

Ubisoft announced plans to release the fourth installment of the Rayman franchise, now officially titled Rayman Raving Rabbids, worldwide during Holiday 2006. Scheduled for current and next-generation consoles, Rayman Raving Rabbids also joins the line-up as an official launch title for Nintendo’s Wii, formerly known as Revolution, and its innovative controller.

The ESRB has changed The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's rating from Teen to Mature due to more detailed depictions of blood and gore than were considered in the original rating, and due to a 3rd party mod file unlocking topless versions of female characters.

MGM Interactive and EON Productions Ltd. have awarded Activision the rights to develop and publish interactive entertainment games based on the James Bond license through 2014. Electronic Arts recently dropped the license due to disappointing results from a streak of mediocre titles.

D3Publisher of America and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced a licensing agreement for DC Comics/Vertigo's 100 Bullets, allowing D3PA to develop and publish console, handheld, and PC games based on the renowned comic book series. Whether this has anything to do with the previously cancelled Acclaim title, is not known.

Vivendi Games announced that indie music artist Kazy and his song Choke have won the Scarface: The World Is Yours Video Game Soundtrack Talent Search. Out of more than 70,000 votes Kazy's song came out on top and will not only be featured in the game, but Kazy will also open for rock band Wolfmother at a high-profile event in Hollywood this month.

Dynasty Warriors BroadBand (working title) is KOEI's second online multiplayer title (Unchartered Waters being the other), based on its popular hack'n slash series, currently available only in Japan. At this year's E3 KOEI will be presenting DW BB so we hope to get some time to check out an English version and get a feel for it.

Vivendi announced it had hired former Ubisoft COO Tremblay, but now it seems that this may not go into effect anytime soon. During his Ubisoft days Tremblay was a strong supporter of its one-year non-compete clause barring employees to jump ship to another developer/publisher. Now its seems Tremblay is victim of his own stance
, as Ubisoft is taking him to court blocking his Vivendi appointment.

1C Company unveiled today the 5 titles to be shown at the E3 in May, 2006. 1C plans to release all of their top games for 2006 in the US for the first time. 1C’s new lineup spans multiple genres including a first-person action title, real-time strategy, simulation and role-playing games.
