PlayStation 3 Goes into Full Production

Asustek Computer announced it will deliver PS3 game consoles to Sony this month as the Japanese firm gets ready to step up productions to meet demand for the 2006 holiday season. The first shipment is for 4 million units, with a target of 200,000 units per month thereafter. Hon Hai Precision Industry Co will pitch in shortly and will soon begin making PS3 units for Sony as well.

Battle of Britain II: Wings of Victory recreates the fierce and famous air battles southern England in 1940, allowing the player to either act as the supreme commander of either side, or simply click "fly" and let your generals manage the war below. You are part of a special forces squad trained in conventional warfare and arcane arts to save humanity. Jericho is an North African city wherein lurks evil incarnate and you are on a perilous quest to reach the innermost chamber where you encounter imprisoned soldiers, World War I infantrymen, Crusaders, going further back in time as you move along. To be published by Codemasters, schedule for late 2007.

Atari made the following comment on the changed release date: "Given the sheer size and scope of Neverwinter Nights 2 and its 50 to 60-hour single player campaign, it was decided to move the global release date of Neverwinter Nights 2 out a month to late October. This extra time is invaluable as it allows fine tuning and polishing of both the single and multiplayer experiences to ultimately deliver a game that exceeds the tremendous expectations of the Neverwinter Nights fanbase."
