Shortly after CEO Christoph Syring resigned from CDV, the German develioper/publisher has sold off several of its upcoming key titles. Licenses to three of its top titles, War Front: Turning Point, Panzer Tactics and Jack Keane have been bought up by newcomer GDD Games Development, for a undisclosed amount of money. What this means in terms of release dates or delays is not known. CDV North America could not be reached before press time.
UPDATE: GDD just announced it has sold the rights to 10tacle (thanks GameCaptain).

Frogwares today revealed its third title in the Sherlock Holmes series. After Mystery of the Mummy, and The Silver Earring, the French studio is actively working on Sherlock Holmes: The Awaken, scheduled for release October 2006.

Activision is teaming up with Spike TV and Best Buy to deliver the “Game Head Call of Duty 3: Challenge,” a boot camp-style competition of survival and gaming that will telecast as a television special on Spike TV’s “Game Head” on Nov. 10, 2006 timed to the fall release of the Call of Duty 3 video game.

Codemasters announced that its fantasy MMORPG ArchLord has begun the first phase of its public beta test program, giving the first wave of gamers access to the entire game, and the ability to create their own Human, Orc or Moon Elf character. Cenega has released two separate demos, each includes the same tutorial but both feature a different mission. At a Vivendi press event last week we learned that both F.E.A.R. next-gen titles will each have an exclusive bonus level and bonus weapon. The story of the two bonus levels ties together to help explain the backstory of F.E.A.R. In the X360 level you play as Holliday and the weapon is the dual machine guns, while the PS3 extra content is still kept secret but our guess is that you play as that other guy who is big in the FEAR backstory, Holliday's partner. Whether there will be additional content remains to be seen, we'll have more details next month when we get to go hands on with the PS3 version.
