3DRealms announced today that the previously mentioned v1.1 patch for Human Head's sci-fi FPS Prey is coming tomorrow at 9am PST (6pm Euro time). This is a tech/bug fix patch, there are no new game play elements in this update (nor are there any planned for the future). mentioned Operation Darkness from Metal Saga developers Success, and hadn't been heard of since. While details are still slim, Operation Darkness is a tactica RPG set during WW2, where you, as part of an special ops team, are tracking down Hitler. Success implements multiple scenarios and mixes historical events with fiction.

JoWood and European publisher Deepsilver revealed that its upcoming action/rpg Gothic 3 will not be using the StarForce protection, but instead they opted to go with SecuRom after thousands of fans, and even one of the Piranha Bytes developers, signed a petition to pressure both parties to not include the beleaguered Russian protection scheme.
