Akella has updated the Age of Pirates: Captain Blood product page, reflecting a change in release date. The action/rpg, based on the novels by Rafael Sabatini about the notorious Captain Blood, has been pushed back from its original Q3 2006 all the way to Q2 2007. No reason for the delay was given (thanks Blues).

RPG created by acclaimed artists Takehiko Inoue (Japanese manga creator, made famous by “Slam Dunk”), Kiyoshi Shigematsu (a famous Japanese novelist) and Nobuo Uematsu (Japanese music composer, known for creating the music for the Final Fantasy series of games). The game is produced by Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of the original Final Fantasy series.

During a keynote speech at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia XV Conference, Activision CEO Robert Kotick revealed that Guitar Hero will be appearing on every significant new format, with the intention of releasing yearly updates. While the PS2 edition is scheduled for November, rumors have been going around that certain game stores received word that the Xbox 360 version might launch early 2007.

. For every three full months with an active account, players will unlock valuable in-game items and bonuses that will come in the form of costumes, powers, badges, and more! EA has released an updated demo for FIFA 07 allowing you to play 4 minutes, and choose from Manchester United, Barcelona, Lyon, Weder Bremen, Guadalajara or AC Milaan, playable in Arsenal's Emirates Stadion. This update adds international commentaries, a different game speed, the full intro and features substitutes. Problems with some graphic cards have also been fixed.

The latest issue of Famitsu reveals that TECMO is bringing is Ninja Gaiden series to the PS3. Absent during the Microsoft conference earlier, Ninja Gaiden Sigma will make its debut at the Sony happening on the 22nd, but it is said that the new game ought to be playable on the showfloor, with an improved combat system, updated graphics, new weapons, and the ability to wield dual katanas.
