The World Series of Video Games presented by Intel announces today that the upcoming Major event on the World Series of Video Games circuit will be entitled the "UK Gaming Championship". The event will be held at the London Trocadero in Piccadilly Circus, October 6-8, 2006. Hours of operation are 10-10 Friday and Saturday, and 12-5 on Sunday.

CDV announced American Conquest Anthology, which includes American Conquest, and its Fight Back and Divided Nation expansions, letting you relive events from American history from the period of 1492 to 1865. The collection includes a total of over 100 missions, 25 campaigns and 22 nations, random map generator and online multiplayer modes that will keep players battling through history for months. American Conquest Anthology will ship to North American retail in November 2006.

Ascaron has released a new patch for its latest iteration in the ANSTOSS soccer management franchise. This 4th patch requires v1.03 to be installed and fixes various bugs, and game crashes. Old save games will no longer work after applying this patch.

According to German Gamestar magazine
, Epic's Jay Wilbur revealed at the Tokyo Game Show that UT 2007 has been further delayed, until Q2/Q3 2007. While Epic never announced an official release date, Sony initially mentioned it was to be a launch title, and while many retailers had it listed for end of the year, a few months ago The Inquirer
reported it was postponed until 2007. Specific reasons for the delay were of course not provided, but it is safe to assume the extra development time will be used to polish the game.

While there are no details available as of yet, Destineer is looking to hire an Art Director
to work on a yet-unannounced FPS for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Destineer, known for First to Fight and other titles in the Close Combat franchise, is working closely with US Marines to make an enormously compelling video game.
