After the game was banned in the UK and Ireland, both Sony and Nintendo stated it would not allow AO-rated games to be published on its consoles. Take Two decided today that it would temporarily put the July 10 release on hold to "further explore its options."

The team at DICE has created a brand new map for Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142. Highway Tampa will be made available to Battlefield 2 players for free courtesy of Intel later this month. The map for Battlefield F2142 will follow in the coming months.
