Contrary to popular beliefs that online gamers are asocial, introverted loners, a study by researchers at Nottingham Trent University claims the opposite. 75% of online RPG players make good friends with the people they meet in their virtual worlds, with almost 50% meeting in real-life situations and one in ten going on to develop physical relationships.

Revealed a few weeks ago, the Blitzkrieg 2: Liberation add-on is set near the end of the WW2 and will add two new Western Front campaigns set in Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and France, and will of course include plenty of new units, maps, and game modes.

A few days ago gossip magazine The Inquirer claimed that it had received information regarding the upcoming DirectX10.1 update not being compatible with current DX10 hardware. Microsoft's DirectX lead program manager Sam Glassenberg debunked that rumor
as false, and confirmed that all DirectX10 enabled cards will work fine with the minor DX10.1 update, it may just be that the new features are not incorporated.

speaking out about their game being limited by the HD DVD (even though it was retracted shortly thereafter) Epic's VP Mark Rein made a similar statement. At the Edinburgh Interactive Festival Rein stated

The Game Informer September 2007 issue reveals a new project in development over at Gearbox Software, which is currently finishing up Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. While details are slim, the front cover quote "Diablo meets Mad Max" indicates some sort of sci-fi inspired RPG/action game.
