In an interview with Rolling Stone , former Guns'n' Roses shredder Slash may have revealed another installment in the franchise based on legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix saying "having the Aerosmith guys do it was very cool ’cause Aerosmith’s one of the bands I was heavily influenced by. And Metallica’s doing it, that’s great. And they’re doing a Hendrix one, which is great."

SCEA And 'God of War' Director David Jaffe Accused of Plagiarism

While SCEA is working on a third title in the franchise, and in talks about a God of War movie, it has been accused, and sued, for plagiarism by Jonathon Bissoon-Dath and Jennifer Barrette-Herzog who claim God of War is based on their Olympiad screenplay they sent to Sony Pictures back in 2002, three years before the first GoW title appeared on the PS2. While the plantiffs list various obvious similarities between the two projects, then project director David Jaffe says the lawsuit is "inaccurate, incomplete, abstracted and/or misleading."

Xbox 360 Outselling Wii and PS3 in Japan

For the first time since its launch, Microsoft's Xbox 360 has outsold both the Wii and PS3 in Japan, according to Enterbrain. Hot on the heels of Namco Bandai's Tales of Vesperia launch, which already made X360 sales surge, comes Square Enix's Infinity Undiscovery, and combined with the recent price cut, resulted in the Xbox 360 selling 28,681 units last week, compared to Wii's 27,057 and PS3's 8,050.

Sony Rolls Out PS3 v2.43 Update, But Only for Japan

Sony has released a new v2.43 PS3 firmware update, but is specific to the Japan region, and only PS3 users there will be required to install the update. PS3 users in all other regions will not be prompted to download v2.43. However, if you manually initiate a firmware update by clicking on “System Update” under the XMB’s Settings icon, the v2.43 update will be available, regardless of where you are located, and will it will not cause any issues with your system or add any new functionality.
