Ubisoft Financials Shows Sales Down 50%, Release Schedule

Ubisoft reported its sales for the six months ending Sept. 30, 2009, showing that sales dropped over 50%, similar to its previous financial result, with top sellers being Call of Juarez®: Bound In Blood (900k units sold), TMNT Smash Up, The Price is Right 2, Battle of Giants and, in certain countries Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Academy of Champions.

'Rubik's Puzzle Galaxy: Rush' (Wii) - New Screens

World of Warcraft is an MMORPG experience where players assume the roles of Warcraft heroes as they explore, adventure, and quest across a vast world. Blizzard has launched a Pet Store where players can acquire in-game companions. So far there are two pets available, Lil' K.T. and the Pandaren Monk, each costing $10, with more to become will be available in the near future. Until Dec. 31st, 50% of all Pandaren Monk sales will go to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

SEGA has had a good working relation with Marvel, and in spite of Warner Brothers recently acquiring the comic book company, it is currently developing multiple titles based on upcoming Marvel motion pictures. Apart from the upcoming Iron Man 2 adaptation, Marvel has confirmed that a Thor video game (rumored to be in development at Liquid Ent.) is expected May 2011, while Captain America (who recently got killed off in the comic book series) is scheduled for July 2011.

Another huge batch of games is available in stores. Too bad that the game of the week, Dragon Age: Origins, seems to be a bit of a letdown on consoles, but at least the PC edition shines.

It seems we're going to have to look for a new DVR, as its antics are continuing. When it's time to start recording, it automatically turns on at the appropriate time, only to record ... nothing. Luckily, we had yet to watch yesterday's Castle, which is finally starting to show Nathan Fillion's gaming interest with a Guitar Hero cameo. Speaking of Fillion, last week rumors started flying around that Hugh Jackman was in the running to play Drake in the upcoming Uncharted movie, but I'd rather see Fillion throw his hat in the ring for the role. He loves video games, has the right sense of humor, and, dare I say, he even looks a bit like the protagonist.
