Battlefield 1943, using DICE's Frostbite engine, takes players back to WWII. The game offers endless hours of 24 player multiplayer action over three classic and tropic locations; Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima.

Dead Rising 2 is set several years after the infamous zombie invasion of Willamette. Unfortunately, the zombie virus was not contained at the conclusion of Dead Rising, spreading unchecked throughout the United States and DR2 depicts a country where zombie outbreaks continue to strike. During his GDC presentation Capcom lead character artist Izmeth Siddeek revealed that the game could handle 6,000 characters on screen, when multiple players are involved, indicating the game will have multiplayer.

Section 8 is a futuristic FPS that brings strategy and tactics to the genre in a game where players can modify the battlefield on the fly. You are part of an elite infantry squad with a penchant for taking on suicide missions that no one else will tackle.

Guitar Hero: Metallica features an Expert+ difficulty setting for people with two kick pedals, pop-up video style tracks, new guitar and bass tones, allowing you to play as a band member in single instrument or band career game modes, a total of 28 Metallica tracks, as well as 21 other artists. Earlier this month, Square Enix and Eidos agreed to buyout terms, although approval was required by the shareholders, who were to vote at a meeting that was held earlier today. Today, Eidos and Square Enix announced that the merger was approved by the required majority of shareholders. On April 21-22, Eidos and Square Enix will implement various principal events to prepare for the merger to be official on May 6, pending court approval.

Currently, the title is running on the World of Warcraft engine, but that is merely for testing purposes.

Tom Clancy's EndWar is a next-gen strategy game, set on the battlefields of WWIII, that pushes the envelope of technology, showcasing unprecedented AI, graphics, physics and animations. Ubisoft has released a free Veteran Map pack on XBL and PSN, adding 2 new missions on new battlefields playable in skirmish mode.

Otherland is an Unreal Engine 3 powered massively multiplayer online game, based on the best-selling novels by fantasy author Tad Williams.

TOMY Corporation and Collision Studios announced a strategic partnership to develop an original video game for Nintendo platforms.

Fallen Earth is a post-apocalyptic massively multiplayer online game that mixes FPS style with traditional RPG mechanics, where six factions are struggling to emerge from the collapse of civilization brought on by viruses and environmental disaster.
