Many people in the gaming community may not know Dave Arneson, who was best known for co-creating Dungeons & Dragons/Advanced D&D with Gary Gygax, who also passed away a little over a year ago. Their work inspired many RPG video games such as Bioware's Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights, Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls series and more. Suffering from health problems, Arneson passed away at the age of 61.

A while back a beta tester leaked info saying Borderlands reminded him of Crackdown, which puzzled the community, but that might have been closer to the truth than expected.
