Blur drops players into heart-pumping, electrified racing action with 20 cars on a track all targeting the finish line and battling each other as they trade paint and collect intense power-ups, including the ability to blast other cars out of the way with huge bursts of energy, boost their speed, and more. Confirming what we revealed in Jan. 2009, Activision plans to release a multiplayer beta for Blur in March 2009, although no specific on platforms or contents was disclosed.

Activision Blizzard announced December quarter and calendar year 2009 financial result, racking up net revenues of $4.28 billion. More importantly CEO Robert Kotick stated that WoW: Cataclysm and StarCraft II (also as digital download through Battle.net) are both scheduled for later this year, with the latter going into closed beta this month, while new installments in the Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, DJ Hero, Tony Hawk and Spider-Man franchises are also planned for 2010.

It's no secret that I am a sucker for CrimeCraft, and while it has plenty of issues, I'm enjoying it greatly. Vogster has been trying to get its MMO off the ground for a few months now, and while it's certainly better now than in the beginning, it still has a really low population. At the end of this month, a new patch is expected that will add new features and a large new map for 32 players, but mainly, it'll upgrade the free trial member status to full standard access and lower the premium subscription. If you're still on the fence, then it might be the time to check it out, or if you dropped the game a few months ago, it might be worth coming back ....
