Another day, another batch of games shipped to stores. Instead of giving them all their own posts, we grouped them, and so far there are announcements for:

Disney's The Little Mermaid (NDS/GBA) & Disney Princess (GBA)

"Inspired by the award-winning film, 'The Little Mermaid' handheld games provide interactive adventures that kids can take with them on-the-go," said Craig Relyea, vice president of marketing, Buena Vista Games. "With the release of Disney's new two-disc 'The Little Mermaid' Platinum Edition DVD today, fans of Ariel and her friends will have ample opportunities to share in the fun this holiday season."

Featuring six of Disney's most beloved princesses, Disney Princess: Royal Adventure on the Game Boy Advance will be released alongside The Little Mermaid titles.

"Since its debut in 2000, the Disney Princess franchise has become a leading girls lifestyle brand," said Relyea. "Building on the franchise's popularity, the new Disney Princess: Royal Adventure game enables young girls to interact with their favorite characters in a new magical adventure."

Disney's The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure

Ariel, Flounder and Sebastian join some new friends on a mysterious aquatic adventure based on the beloved Disney movie. Developed by Gorilla Systems Corp., the game lets players dive into 16 levels of interactive gameplay, and use the unique Nintendo DS features that include:

  • Playing music wirelessly with up to five friends in the "Barnacle Band"
  • Singing into the Nintendo DS microphone to unlock treasure chests
  • Using the Nintendo DS stylus to dig up hidden treasure

Disney's The Little Mermaid: Magic in Two Kingdoms

Also developed by Gorilla Systems Corp., Disney's The Little Mermaid: Magic in Two Kingdoms lets players embark on a seafaring journey through some favorite "The Little Mermaid" movie moments. Explore as Ariel, Flounder, Sebastian or Prince Eric to unlock eight nautical games. Goals include racing to save Prince Eric from the sinking ship, aiding Sebastian in escaping the French Chef and defeating Ursula, the evil sea-witch.

Disney Princess: Royal Adventure

Developed by Human Soft, Inc., Disney Princess: Royal Adventure lets players explore an enchanted castle with secret portals leading to the worlds of the Disney Princesses -- Jasmine, Cinderella, Belle, Ariel, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty -- on their quest to find a missing collection of special tiaras. Players can journey into a wonderful world inside the castle and a medley of unique environments in the surrounding village. The Disney Princesses will help players increase their skills while earning enchanted items that are used to solve a mystery that has been forgotten by the village for many years.

Gangs of London (PSP)

Created by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's London Studio, developers of The Getaway franchise, Gangs of London is designed specifically for the PSP system. Presented in gritty graphic-novel style narratives, Gangs of London provides gamers with a unique visual presentation and dynamic storylines. Built from the ground up for the PSP system, gamers will play through over 60 different missions that will immerse them into the elite criminal underworld of modern day London. Complete with new gameplay modes, Gangs of London gives each player an original portable gaming experience by introducing tactical squad-based gameplay into the Action/Driving genre.

"Gangs of London is varied, quick-fire, and fun with all original content designed exclusively for the PSP system. Now you can control and give orders to your team of gangsters to orchestrate the most ruthless takeover of the London underworld," said Daniel Navarro, London Studio, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. "We are excited by its innovative combination of the squad-based and driving genres rooted in an intense depiction of London's criminal underworld."

Gangs of London offers a variety of modes of play including Story Mode, Gang Battle, Free Roaming, London Pub Games and a unique Game Sharing mode. In Story Mode, players choose the gang they want to lead and use strategy and skill to stay one step ahead of the competition. Each mission is separated with graphic novel stylized narratives that guide players through the background story of criminal masterminds fighting for the right to be called London's number one gangster. Gamers can re-play the game from different gang perspectives, allowing for a different take on this ruthless takeover of London.

Combining some of the best elements of turn-based strategy and card games, Gang Battle mode provides players with an interactive map on which they must use criminal force to attack and defend territories of London. Using a combination of skill, nerve and chance, gamers can take on up to four other gamers on a single PSP system, or compete against up to four AI controlled players.

Seven Free Roaming modes in total are available in Gangs of London to keep gamers busy outside of the Story Mode. Free Drive mode allows players to explore and tackle 25 square miles of London replicated for the PSP system. Choose between a variety of characters, vehicles, weapons, time of day, and police levels to create the experience you desire. Additionally, gamers may unlock the London Tourist mode, where they will be tasked with exploring and photographing the city's most famous landmarks to unlock game extras. Other Free Roaming modes to unlock include Speed Trap, Riot Control, Getaway, Four Weeks Later and The Knowledge. If it's pickup and play gaming that players are looking for, Gangs of London also offers a set of British Pub mini-games that include darts, pool and skittles.

Gangs of London also supports a completely original Game Share mode that will generate a new level unique to each PSP, with the content dependent on the serial number of the target system. Once activated, players will find themselves faced with uniquely different mission objectives, environments, characters and weaponry.

NHL 2K7 (PS2)

Players are immersed into all of the action and excitement of professional hockey with NHL 2K7 as it delivers several new innovative and compelling features. NHL 2K7 redefines how virtual hockey is played with revolutionary, new camera angles, while dramatic visuals and smooth animations add to the overall look and feel of the game. STACKED (PSP)

The premiere Texas Hold ‘Em video game developed by 3G Studios, STACKED utilizes a highly acclaimed artificial intelligence (AI) system that devises new strategies for victory as it learns more about each player’s individual style of play. As a player progresses through the game, the AI will become more advanced as it builds a profile of weaknesses and attempts to exploit them. Rated T for Teen by the ESRB, STACKED for the PSP system is available for purchase at leading retailers including Best Buy, EB Games and GameStop, and carries a suggested retail price of $19.99.
