Elebits (Wii)

The only source of the energy for more than 10,000 years in a world without electricity, gasoline or nuclear power, Elebits are mischievous and mysterious creatures that have been essential to the growth of mankind. While humans and Elebits have always lived in harmony, a recent lightning storm has caused them to act strangely, abandoning their duties and hiding throughout the world. Players take on the role of a young boy named Kai as he searches to find out what happened to the Elebits and restore them to their original state as friendly partners of humanity.

The son of world-renowned Elebit researchers, Kai has a number of advanced tools that will help him as he attempts to track down the misbehaving creatures. He has access to a powerful Capture Gun that allows him to grab Elebits as well as lift, move and rotate any object he comes across. As they collect different Elebits, players will be able to increase the power of their Capture Gun and also activate different items in the game world such as appliances and machines that will help uncover more Elebits. Using the unique Wii Remote, players will immerse themselves in the world of Elebits as the action on the screen matches all of their movements, including rotating, throwing, pushing and pulling objects. Through the more than 25 stages in Elebits’ single player story mode, gamers will encounter more than 15 different types of Elebits, each with their own unique personalities that will require a different strategy to successfully capture.

Elebits also features an in-depth Edit Mode that lets players create their own stages by selecting the exact placement of every item and Elebit in the area. Using the precision of the Wii Remote, players can devise a nearly unlimited variety of stages with different goals and gameplay parameters. These levels can then be traded in-game with other players using Nintendo’s WiiConnect24 service, providing unparalleled replay value and gameplay variety while fostering a strong online community.

Up to four gamers can enjoy the unique gameplay of Elebits simultaneously in the game’s Multiplayer Mode. Pitting players against each other to see who can gather the most wattage in a given amount of time, multiplayer mode lets players compete in any of the game’s single player levels as well as user created levels from the game’s Edit Mode.

Elebits is rated “E” for Everyone by the ESRB and carries a suggested retail price of $49.99.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy (NDS)

Based on the Fullmetal Alchemist universe, which includes a hit television program, popular DVD series and a recently released movie, Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy is a side-scrolling action/adventure game that puts players in the role of Edward Elric, the Fullmetal Alchemist. Along with his brother Alphonse, Edward sets out on a quest to defeat the evil Homunculi and acquire the fabled Philosopher’s Stone and undo the botched alchemic experiment that left him with a metal arm and leg, and his brother’s soul bonded to a suit of armor.

Developed by Bandai, Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy sports an innovative twist via the use of alchemy - the ability to transform objects from one form into another. Whether repelling defenders, removing obstacles or engaged in battle, all six characters have unique and devastating alchemy attacks, which range from bolts of fire and stone spikes to monstrous cannons and gigantic fists. By using the stylus to hold down the alchemy button on the Nintendo DS touch screen, players can transform their initial alchemy creation into a mega-weapon of tremendous proportions and impact.

Covering the entire Fullmetal Alchemist storyline, Dual Sympathy has two modes of play: Story Mode, which follows the saga of the Elric brothers and includes cinematics and battle sequences from the TV series; and Character Mode, which allows players to assume the role of one of the six characters.

Features :

  • Ability to play as one of six characters: Edward or Alphonse Elric, Roy Mustang, Alex Louis Armstrong, Izumi or Scar; as well as acquire the special moves of the other characters;
  • Original voice cast of the show currently airing on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim;
  • A host of unlock-able content, including talking character alarm clocks, character galleries, video and sound libraries, and more;
  • More than 10 touch screen mini-games, including “Whack-A-Homunculus” and “Fullmetal vs. Flame” all add exciting new challenges between battles.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy is rated “T” for Teen and has an expected MSRP of $29.99.

Air Assault Task Force (PC)

From the verdant jungles of Vietnam, the sun-baked desolate landscape of Somalia, to the Taliban infested mountains of Afghanistan, take a ride with the Air Assault Task Force and wage war in the most
realistic simulation available commercially on your PC! Shrapnel Games is pleased to announce that ProSIM Company's Air Assault Task Force for Windows is now shipping!

Air Assault Task Force, available directly through Shrapnel Games for only $44.95, is a real-time simulation of airmobile operations of the past forty years. Featuring campaigns in some of the most infamous hotspots of the world (and training operations in the United States), players will command more than just air assault troops. Besides airmobile, operations include the use of light infantry, artillery, armor, attack aviation, and the whole range of modern land combatants, all fighting on real world terrain imported directly into the game using digital elevation maps. Other games can try and replicate the battlefield, but Air Assault Task Force gives you the actual battlefield.

The next generation of ProSIM games, Air Assault Task Force is the core engine that will be used in all future ProSIM titles and builds upon its predecessor, the ATF: Armored Task Force engine. Retaining all the realism and unparalleled accuracy of ATF, Air Assault Task Force makes a monumental change with the user interface. Previously users commanded their forces by selecting the order and then selecting the unit, whereas now in Air Assault Task Force a simple right-click on a unit will then allow that unit to be ordered. While seemingly a minor change, by creating a much more intuitive command structure Air Assault Task Force tears down the walls of difficulty that some gamers found with previous titles.

ProSIM veterans will also find a slew of graphical changes, with a much cleaner interface and brighter graphics that now support either full screen or a Windowed mode up to 1280x1024 using the latest DirectX technology. The damage modeling has been fully upgraded to allow precision system destruction, as opposed to the previous "live or dead" model. Improved munitions, variable weather, individual buildings, and other enhancements found throughout ATF: Armored Task Force are of course present.

Most exciting of all Air Assault Task Force is fully backwards compatible with the ATF: Armored Task Force line of games, and indeed actually will upgrade those games to take full advantage of the new engine. Essentially this means that players can enjoy their favorite titles like Raging Tiger: The Second Korean War and The Falklands War: 1982 with all the bells and whistles found in Air Assault Task Force. How many other developers are willing to go the extra mile and ensure that gamers don't have to abandon their old games because of the latest title arriving on the scene?

Like all ProSIM titles Air Assault Task Force comes with extensive documentation, a helpful user community, and the dedicated support of ProSIM.
