Another day, another batch of games shipped to stores. Instead of giving them all their own posts, we grouped them, and so far there are announcements for:

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (Wii)

Created by Infinite Interactive Pty. Ltd., Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords offers a compelling twist on conventional gaming, allowing families to spend just a few casual minutes with the game or dedicate hours of gameplay time to their puzzles-and-role-playing experience.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is a critically acclaimed videogame that artfully blends match-three puzzle gameplay with strategy, character-building elements and a persistent storyline. This combination of gameplay elements produces an appealing new videogame genre that entices casual and hardcore gamers alike, offering hours of fun-filled gameplay for the whole family. The Wii version of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords includes updated features such as rebalancing of some runes, spells and other items, short recharge time limits for the most powerful spells, a re-play option for monster capture puzzles and multiplayer for up to two players. Additionally, the game integrates waggle control options with the Wii Remote™.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords has received numerous accolades acknowledging the excellence of the game since it first launched for handheld systems in March of 2007. These include a recent Spike TV nomination for Best Handheld Game of 2007, a prestigious Best Puzzle Game of E3 2007 Award from IGN.com, a nomination from MTV’s GameTrailers.com for Best of E3 2007 for Best Puzzle/Parlor Game, and the esteemed iParenting Media Excellent Product Award for 2007.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, rated E 10+, is available for a suggested retail price of $29.95. Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is also available for NDS, PSP, Xbox LIVE Arcade, PS2 and PC.

Masters of Illusion (NDS)

You see here before you a video game. By all outward appearances, it's a simple video game. Feel free to inspect it to confirm it is, in fact, of the standard video game variety. Note that I have nothing up my sleeve, nor do I have any confederates among the audience. Now allow me, if you will, to insert the game card into the NDS. With a few taps of the touch screen with my magic wand stylus ... Voila! Instantly you are transformed into a Master of Illusion!

This remarkable new Nintendo product has the power to mystically change anyone into an eager apprentice magician with abilities sure to astound friends and family alike. A full repertoire of tricks awaits discovery and practice. Best of all, Master of Illusion comes with a deck of magic cards to get trainees started on the path to magic mastery.

Master of Illusion, rated E for Everyone, is yet another way the Nintendo DS transforms the notion of what constitutes a video game. Note: rabbit not included.
