Another day, another batch of games shipped to stores. Instead of giving them all their own posts, we grouped them, and so far there are announcements for:

Pitfall: The Big Adventure (Wii)

Set deep in the Peruvian jungle, you will assume the role of Pitfall Harry, the fearless rough-and-ready treasure hunter who battles evil using his athletic ability and a knapsack filled with adventure gear. You’ve never played an adventure game with Wii Remote™ controls like this! Perform all sorts of movements in your living room as you swing on vines, swim in raging rivers, paddle a raft, fight quicksand, and punch-attack enemies.

“The Pitfall franchise is beloved by all generations of gamers, so Pitfall: The Big Adventure is designed to be played by the whole family,” said Dave Oxford, Activision Publishing. “The Wii™ controls give both old and new fans a new level of immersion and fun.”

The rich storyline has Pitfall Harry performing heroic tasks like rescuing members of a lost expedition, preventing the theft of the treasures of El Dorado, and helping a princess fulfill her destiny. Of course, alligators and many other enemies stand in your way as you travel across beautiful rainforests, danger-filled caves, and icy mountains.

Extending the family friendly Wii fun, Pitfall: The Big Adventure has 10 mini games, which include Super Roll Bowling, Raft Water Race, and Torch Burning Contests. As an added bonus for those looking to take a trip down memory lane, or just to educate the youngsters on videogame history, the original Pitfall and Pitfall 2 are included!

Pitfall: The Big Adventure is available now for a suggested retail price of $39.99.

Bleach: Dark Souls (NDS)

Bleach: Dark Souls delivers an authentic anime experience with non-stop action and swordplay. The game features an expanded cast of over 40 characters and are voiced by the actors from VIZ Media’s award-winning Bleach animation series. Bleach: Dark Souls is rated T for Teen.

Developed by famed Japanese developer Treasure, Bleach: Dark Souls features a multitude of enhancements to last year’s critically acclaimed game Bleach: The Blade of Fate. These enhancements include multiplayer games with expanded personalization features, brand new Bankai moves, 30 new Spirit Cards, power-enhancing crystals, and improved character balancing. The Bleach: Dark Souls storyline takes place in-between seasons one and two of the animated series and was created exclusively for the game.

Bleach: Dark Souls offers enhancements to the impressive 2D action and brilliant visuals that have become the hallmark of Treasure, the game’s legendary development team. Players will face a variety of opponents playing as one of 44 highly-stylized characters in intense action-packed battles based on the animated series. For the first time ever, players will be able to assume the role of evil Hollows, adding a new twist for gamers to explore. Bleach: Dark Souls utilizes a traditional 2D fighting game format with enhanced visuals that push the graphical prowess of NDS to new heights.

Bleach: Dark Souls features four player multiplayer battles via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and DS Download Play. Players can now battle in melee brawls or fight on teams. Finally, Bleach fans will enjoy using the newly included encyclopedia that offers detailed explanations of the Bleach universe, character info, descriptions of their attacks and a full glossary of Bleach terms.

Prey the Stars (NDS)

Prey the Stars serves up an incredible world where nearly anything from food to whole buildings can be devoured. Players must bite, lick, and suck their way to victory as one of the game's four insatiable and customizable creatures: GABU, BARI, CHUCHU, and PERO.
