Saints Row 2 (PC)

Developed by renowned open-world developer, Volition, Inc., Saints Row 2 is an open-world action title featuring unrivalled customization, intense combat and both competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes.

In Saints Row 2, players awake from a coma to find the city of Stilwater overtaken by back-stabbing thugs, ruthless gangs and the gleaming Ultor Corporation. Tasked with reclaiming their city, players will seek out revenge and bring the Saints back to their former glory. Saints Row 2 features unmatched customization options, including character, clothing, crib, gang and vehicle customization. The game also features over-the-top combat with all new weapons, melee combat options and new vehicles including cars, motorcycles, boats, helicopters and planes. In addition, Saints Row 2 offers drop-in, drop-out co-op support through the entire single player game as well as full online competitive multiplayer options.

“Saints Row 2’s console release was met with heavy praise from press and consumers alike for delivering the kind of over-the-top, open-world gameplay gamers want,” said Kevin Kraff, vice president, global brand management, THQ. “Saints Row 2’s debut on Windows PC will introduce the truly unique, highly entertaining open-world experience to PC fans worldwide.”

"Saints Row 2 is the first title to offer PC gamers an open-world experience with near limitless customization options, hundreds of missions, activities and diversions and online co-op through the entire single player game,” said Mike Kulas, vice president, product development and general manager, Volition, Inc. “We’ve spent a great deal of time optimizing system specs for Windows PC to ensure gamers get the same high quality experience no matter what system they choose.”

The game is now available for PC in North America for the suggested retail price of $39.99 and is also available for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The game is expected to ship to retail outlets in Europe on January 23, 2009 and Australia on February 5, 2009.
