Pro Race Driver - Screens

by Rainier on Oct. 10, 2002 @ 6:55 p.m. PDT

Codemasters’ Pro Race Driver, racing to the PC on November 22nd, is set to be the platform’s most dynamic and dramatic circuit racer. Fiercer than its console versions, the PC edition offers additional features and allows up to 20 players to race at once. Check out our 8 new screens ...

In this “Car PG” players compete as a fictitious race car professional, Ryan McKane, in a high-speed racing experience packed with 42 authentically licensed cars, 13 championships and 38 internationally renowned tracks. The PC edition of this evolutionary cinematic gameplay adds qualifying races to the championships and offers six more cars than its console counterparts.

With up to 20 players racing simultaneously, Pro Race Driver presents the most aggressive exhibition of close-contact racing resulting in spectacular damage. This can be seen in stunning graphical detail with support from Direct X 8 compatible graphics cards. Dolby’ Digital 5.1 and EAX audio technology enable reverberation and environmental audio effects, which make the roar of the cars’ engines and the dramatic story sequences sound better than ever on PC.

Pro Race Driver for the PC launches on November 22nd and carries a SRP of $39.99. Online and network play will be available for Pro Race Driver’s PC players as a downloadable extra in 2003. More information on the game, including in-game video footage can be found HERE
