The World Cyber Games 2002 ("WCG 2002") - the world's largest global computer gaming championship - invites the world's top gamers to prove their speed, strategy and skill in the WCG 2002 Championships in Daejeon, Republic of Korea. Succeeding the great legacy of last year's 1st World Cyber Games, WCG 2002 will host a total of around 470 players from 45 countries around the world for the game tournament.

All players earned their ticket to Daejeon after surviving cutthroat regional qualification rounds. For example, in Korea, over 25,000 people participated in the qualification rounds for one of 16 spots on the Korean National Gaming Team.

In addition to selecting the top computer games on the world, the WCG 2002 strives to facilitate harmony and peace between youths of the world by showcasing various events throughout the tournament. WCG 2002 will also hold a game business conference to check out the today and tomorrow of the world gaming industry.
