'Savage' - Screens

“With Savage we’re creating two complete yet utterly intertwined experiences. Our goal is that both the FPS and RTS play modes of Savage will match or exceed the top games in both genres,” said Jesse Hayes, creative director and chief operating office for S2 Games.

Highly detailed environments and character models and an emphasis on squad-based team play coupled with a gaming experience that allows players to actually opt for either the fast-paced action of a FPS or the strategic, more tactical role of a RTS, makes Savage an exciting gaming adventure that actually defines a new genre.

Built with S2 Games’ new proprietary Silverback” development engine, Savage brings multiplayer gaming to the next level. As opposed to sending mindless peons into battle, players must organize teams of actual human players in order to fight and conquer their enemies. Players may choose to play the role of Commander, and delve into a deep RTS game, researching technologies, mining resources and issue orders to their warriors, or players may choose to play as a warrior, and play an intense game of first person combat.

Savage Gameplay

Built with the new "Silverback" development engine, "Savage" delivers the next level in multiplayer gaming. Instead of sending mindless computer drones into battle, players organize real human players on a crusade to conquer their adversaries. A player may choose to be a commander, and play an in-depth RTS game, researching technologies, mining resources, and issuing orders to their warriors. If a player chooses to be a warrior, they will play an intense game of first person combat, wielding their weapon of choice to strike down the enemy.

Savage is designed so that neither RTS nor Action based play are watered down in any way. RTS fans will have all the control they are used to such as tech tree, resource management and tactical strategy. In turn, the action-based players will play an in-depth fighting game with a heavy emphasis on battle dynamics. Although the two sides work together their roles are very distinct.

The Myth of Savage

In a violent age, eons from now, nomad humans roam the earth, inflicting cruelty on the beasts and creatures of the world. The human race is wasteful, selfish and fights amongst itself, while those closest to nature, the beast race, learn from human failings and evolve with the passing of time. The struggle is joined, man against beast, for the very basic national resources that nurture life. Each race has its own style of battle, its own leader, and its own way to victory. What side are you on?
