Ignore dribbling, elderly relatives and forget about boring old repeats of movies after Christmas dinner because Eidos Interactive and Sports Interactive have the perfect Christmas present for you. The release date of the Xbox-exclusive Championship Manager: Season 02/03 has been announced as 6th December 2002.

Championship Manager season 02/03 boasts a number of improvements like the implementation of the new transfer league window, the most up-to-date statistics on console and the facility to play music from your Xbox. All this should go nicely towards filling in the time between the festive football matches with the same addictive gameplay that is the hallmark of the series.

"We are delighted to give Xbox owners the chance to play Championship Manager with this season's data,' said Miles Jacobson, managing director at Sports Interactive. "We're hoping the new improvements we have made make it even more enjoyable to play and give gamers an alternative to watching re-runs of Home Alone on Christmas Day".
