411 Publishing, a company dedicated to producing high quality information resources for the film, commercial, and video production industry, has unveiled its plans to release Games 411. Working in conjunction with The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, 411 has compiled over 3,000 researched and qualified listings in more than 80 categories, making Games 411 the first and only business resource for the interactive entertainment industry.

“The video and computer games culture is an exploding vertical in the entertainment industry, and we felt it was time there was a comprehensive directory for that category,” said Dea Lawrence, Director of Marketing for 411 Publishing.

Games 411 is a complete “A to Z” reference guide, listing everyone from publishers to developers, to software and hardware companies, artists, music producers, marketing and distribution, and retailers. No other source offers such a complete listing of game-related businesses. Games 411 also features a calendar of related tradeshows and organizations, academic and training classes, and a complete glossary of the latest terms in this constantly evolving industry.

“Games 411 supports the mission of the Academy by helping developers locate the information and services they need to make the best possible games,” said Paul Provenzano, President of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. “We are happy to play a part in this very important resource. ”

411Publishing.com, the company website, will soon have an online component to the print version of Games 411, and will launch prior to the print directory in May 2003.
