THQ SHIPS DARK SUMMIT FOR NINTENDO GAMECUBE
First Ever Action-Adventure Snowboarding Title Expands Genre With Innovative Mission-Based Gameplay

"Dark Summit is an original THQ title that showcases the power of Nintendo Gamecube, while giving players a fresh take on the extreme sports genre," said Alison Locke, executive vice president, North American Publishing, THQ. "With its groundbreaking game design, Dark Summit is an excellent title to launch THQ's products on the Nintendo Gamecube."

About Dark Summit
Developed by Radical Entertainment, Ltd., Dark Summit takes place on Mt. Garrick, a once quiet and peaceful ski resort where snowboarders have never felt welcome. Chief O'Leary has led the charge against boarders by closing the summit and is trying desperately to drive them off the mountain altogether. Gamers will shred and jib their way through this military conspiracy on several massive runs. As Naya, players will work to earn lift and equipment points to unlock restricted areas of the mountain in order to discover the true secret behind Dark Summit. With more than 45 challenges on massively sized runs, it will take every ounce of strategy and skill to solve the mystery of Mt. Garrick. The game is also available for the PlayStation® 2 computer entertainment system and the Xbox(tm) video game system from Microsoft.
