Prima Games and Infogrames Teams Up

Prima Games, a division of Random House Inc. and the world's leading strategy guide publisher, today announced that it has signed an exclusive agreement with global interactive entertainment publisher Infogrames, Inc. to write, publish and distribute in North America 10 computer and video game strategy guides for several of Infogrames' most anticipated titles for 2002. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Among the Infogrames titles that fall under the agreement are: Stuntman(TM) for the PlayStation®2, Unreal® Championship for the Microsoft® Xbox(TM), Godzilla®: Destroy All Monsters Melee for the Nintendo® GameCube(TM) and Unreal Tournament(TM) 2003.

"Infogrames is the latest major game publisher to join Prima Games' growing portfolio of strategy guide partners," said Debra Kempker, president of Prima Games. "We are very excited about the titles that we will be working on because of their mass market appeal and the value that our strategy guides will bring to consumers."

"Prima Games' superior product is a wonderful complement to our games, and the combination of the two will greatly enhance the gaming experience for consumers."

Market research firm NPDFunworld cites Prima Games as the world's leading strategy guide publisher with a 45 percent market share, a ranking the company has held since 1999.

Strategy guides are soft cover books that provide helpful hints and tips to consumers on how to play a specific computer or video game. Cost for Prima Games' guides range from U.S. MSRP $14.99 to $19.99.
