With the US OPEN 2002 tournament taking place in Flushing Meadows, New York from August 26 to September 8, the release of US Open 2002 is sure to garner interest with gamers and tennis enthusiasts alike.

“US Open 2002 is a great tennis sim,” says Steve Milburn, Director of Marketing for Strategy First. “The graphics, the sound and the amazing realism make it stand apart from any other tennis game for the PC on the market.”

Set on some of the world’s most famous courts, US Open 2002 transports players to the quiet excitement of the tennis world with painstakingly accurate details. The starch white base line, the hushed whispering of the crowds, the umpire’s call for silence – all make the US Open 2002 experience a winning match.

Players can try out a variety of surfaces in locations around the world. An assortment of ball shots let players smash or volley their way to the finals. Over 10 game modes ranging from classic to innovative let players fine tune the tournament to their liking, playing against human or computer opponents on their choice of court. Training mode lets players practice their skills and smash their way to the finals, Race mode brings a new excitement to the tennis genre, letting players take on as many opponents as they can, in succession and a unique multiplayer feature lets players compare their game with hundreds of others on the game’s official website.
