Capcom Announces Four GameCube Titles

Capcom Entertainment announce four Nintendo GameCube titles, Dead Phoenix, Killer 7, P.N.03 and Resident Evil 4 each promising to take interactive entertainment to a whole new level. This impressive line up of games will have players exploring the far reaches of the sky, fighting futuristic enemy mechs, assuming the role of an assassin with seven different personas, and investigating the origin of the progenitor virus. P.N.03 is scheduled to release this summer, Dead Phoenix this fall, Killer 7 in 2004, and the release date for Resident Evil 4 is TBD. The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) rating for all four titles is pending. (thanks GameSpyDaily)

Dead Phoenix is a spectacular adventure set in a futurist fantasy world, all beyond space and time. Players assume the role of the hero Phoenix, a winged warrior how must slay fearsome monsters and morbid creatures. Like never before players are going to experience the thrill of flight as they soar through the air like a young bird who has just discovered the power that his wings posses. Visually elaborate and detailed settings will have gamers completely immersed into the deep storyline.

Killer 7 is a unique and visually stunning, hard-boiled action-adventure. It pits a mysterious and unlikely hitman, Harman Smith, against a powerful underworld kingpin named Kun Ran. Harman will have to switch between his seven personalities in order to assassinate the corrupt Ran, the man behind an epidemic that causes people to lose their sanity and overthrow governments. Killer 7 will feature stylized cel-shaded world that brings to life the fateful confrontation between these two dark individuals. It is up to the player to utilize the special powers that dwell within Harmon’s 7 “partners” to achieve the mission.

P.N.03 is an action game starring a female soldier named Vanessa Z. Schneider, a laser-gun wielding, mech killer with a grudge to settle. A colonial settlement turns into a killing field after a CAMS (Computer Arms Management System) goes haywire on a planet. Vanessa hires herself out as a freelance mercenary who kills robots upon her client’s request – no questions asked. But, she has a dark past: CAMS killed her family and her plan is to get even. Players must dodge and weave through the heavy barrage of firepower on the planet while trying to blast the technological terrors into scrap metal.

Exclusive to the GameCube, Resident Evil 4, the long awaited sequel to one of the biggest franchises in the video game industry. The game brings players closer than ever before to the creator of the progenitor virus. The next and newest installment of the Resident Evil franchise that has sold more than 20 million units worldwide, stars Leon S. Kennedy from Resident Evil 2. Leon goes into the very core of the Umbrella Company where he is pushed to the limits of his being for one purpose, the struggle to survive. The game will be highly detailed, as it will be built on a real-time engine. With a new storyline, environment, enemies and puzzles Resident Evil fans around the world will be overwhelmed when Resident Evil 4 debuts.
