'Jurassic Park :Operation Genesis' (PS2/Xbox/PC) - Screens

Developed by leading Australian team Blue Tongue Software, Jurassic Park :Operation Genesis (based on Steven Spielberg's box office smash Jurassic Park series) offers two very distinct game styles, giving the player the opportunity to run and maintain their own dinosaur theme park and also challenging them to run the gauntlet through 12 missions where the park attractions have broken loose and are running wild. The dinosaur-infested game is being developed for PlayStation 2, Microsoft's Xbox system and PC and will be released on March 21st.

Jurassic Park and its sequels are among the highest grossing films of all time, and VUG has exceptionally high hopes for its video game spin-off. The film's most famous reptilian stars are recreated in stunning clarity, with players struggling to contain the ferocious beasts in the game's park manager mode or avoiding them in the adrenaline-fuelled action sections.

"The Jurassic Park franchise lends itself particularly well to the world-building genre of games," commented Jim Wilson, president of Universal Interactive. "The game transforms a highly recognized movie property into a style of gaming that allows players to recreate the very things about Jurassic Park they always loved to see on the big screen. This is the game that Jurassic Park fans have long been waiting for."
