WAR & PEACE - PATCH CONTENTS 1.0.2

  • Update of the French version 1.0.0 to a multilingual version 1.0.1:
    • - 2/3 tool tips corrected
    • - improved text formatting
    • - corrections in the localization of the game
    • - improved "Best performance" setting (fog was too low)
  • Changes in the tutorial's interface:
    • - improved navigation
  • Management of the troops' XP (firepower increases in percentage as troops move up in rank).
  • Management of player profiles:
    • - improved profile management interface
    • - Player will move up in rank with increased experience and additional victories. Name and rank are given during the text briefings; victory texts, defeat texts, and messages...
  • Added setting buttons in the victory / defeat menus:
    • - Restart the game
    • - in the victory menu: Continue the game (with an increase in the conditions for victory) (e.g.: if "Capture 10 towns" is achieved, then_ continue the game in "Capture 20 towns" mode)
  • Sound debugs + Soundblaster 16 (audio crackling).
  • Better management of keyboard navigation in the menus.
  • Improvement in the camera view reorientation (notably when clicking on a building icon).

  • Improvement in the diplomacy / maximap menu:
    • - selecting a city using the scrolling menus: display (text) sums up the town's contents (e.g.: Large. 2 military camps + 1 university)
    • - This same information will be displayed onscreen as your mouse is moved over the maximap.
    • - clicking on a town: improved tolerance (~4 pixels) allows you to center the camera view more precisely on the town.
  • Better management of multi-selection play:
    • - if > 12 groups: several pages of management
    • - Generals and spies are sorted.
  • Setup:
    • - 32 bits by default for all configurations (to avoid the problems associated with 16 bits + ATI RADEON 7500/8500) (CS)
    • - higher by default parameters, notably the view distance which was much too shallow
  • Debug of single-click on invisible ships (corsairs).
  • New keyboard shortcuts:
    • - "SHIFT+F" : Attack on a town with a farm + alert mini/maximap of towns with this type of building
    • - "SHIFT+I" : Attack on a town with a factory "
    • - "SHIFT+B" : Attack on a town with a military training camp "
    • - "SHIFT+U" : Attack on a town with a university "
    • - "SHIFT+H" : Attack on a town with a hospital "
