US Console Market Share Doubles

Infogrames Entertainment reports that, according to NPD data, its share of the US console market doubled in December 2002 versus the corresponding prior period (2.8% in 2001 versus 5.8% in 2002, an increase of 122%). In the December 2002, the Group ranked number 2 in the US consoles market with its Dragon Ball Z Budokai on Playstation 2, as measured in terms of both value and volume for games run on all types of consoles.

In its report for the month of December and for the year 2002, NDP also indicated that the US console video games market had grown by 20.7% in 2002, and by 7% in December alone.

Infogrames has managed to significantly improve its market share in the steadily expanding US market, which accounted for approximately 60% of its consolidated sales in fiscal 2001-2002. From 3.5% en 2001, market share at year-end 2002 was 4.4%, a 51.4% increase.

Infogrames Entertainment will announce its half-year revenues for fiscal 2002-2003 on Friday, January 24, 2003, and its earnings for the same period on Wednesday, February 13, 2003.
