Davilex Games is proud to announce the filming of Autobahn Raser by Germany´s marketleading independent filmproducer and distributor, Constantin Film in Germany. Autobahn Raser has become a massively popular game franchise in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The 5th sequel, Autobahn Raser World Challenge, has recently been released in these territories on PC CDROM and PS2 formats.

"Autobahn Raser has grown into one of the most popular casual games available. It incorporates breaking the rules, local recognizability and plenty of humour. The cult game enjoys huge following in the German speaking countries" says Hans Lange, Sales & Marketing Director of Davilex Games.

The fact that a film will be made that is based on this game shows how popular the franchise actually is. Over 2 million copies have been sold in Germany, Austria and Switzerland so far. "There are many games that are based on popular films and TV shows but there are few films that are based on popular computer and video console games. We are proud that our Autobahn Raser property is one of them", says Rogier Avis, CEO of Davilex Games.

Constantin Films is currently producing the film, which is planned to be ready Q1 2004. Davilex is planning the release of an Autobahn Raser game, based on the script of the movie, in Q3 2004.
