'The Omega Stone' Announced For Macintosh

by Rainier on Nov. 4, 2003 @ 11:44 a.m. PST

The Adventure Company and TransGaming Technologies announced today a partnership to produce an Apple Mac OS X version of The Omega Stone. The Omega Stone is a classic adventure that sends intrepid explorers on a quest to prevent a terrible disaster prophesized by the ancients. Beautiful rendered scenery from Stonehenge, Easter Island, and the Lost City of Atlantis sets the tone for this evocative mystery.

The Omega Stone offers an historically and archaeologically accurate world of adventure, complete with full real time screen animations, cut scenes and full motion video. Gamers can investigate each area in full, with a full 360 degree camera.

“The Mac gaming community is crying out for high quality adventure titles like this,” said Renata Richardson, Product Manager, The Adventure Company “this will put adventure games back on the Mac owners’ wanted list.”

The Adventure Company has partnered with specialist in game ports, TransGaming Technologies, whose portability technology ranges from PC, Macintosh, Linux, consoles, set-top boxes to wireless and PDA devices. TransGaming’s porting capabilities facilitate a rapid time-to-market for video games across multiple platforms.

“We are pleased to be working with The Adventure Company and our partnership is great news for Mac gamers who have been eagerly awaiting more exciting, new adventure titles,” states Cathy Tanner, TransGaming’s Director of Marketing & Communications.

The Omega Stone for the Mac will be available in December and retail for US $29.99.
