by Thomas on March 24, 2003 @ 8:47 a.m. PST

JoWooD Productions is proud to announce that their subsidiary, Massive Development, has today launched an official website and trailer to show off their upcoming PC tool AquaMark3. New details on AquaMark3 and the official trailer can now be seen at

AquaMark3 allows PC users to easily measure and compare the performance of their systems. It provides a reliable benchmark to help PC users to configure their systems for the best gaming performance, through the use of a real-life game simulation.

"AquaMark3 will allow home users to accurately gauge the performance of their PC's," commented Massive's Technical Director Ingo Frick, "It's easy to use and provides accurate information to help users get the best out of 3D games."

The AquaMark3 program is available for all PC users to download from the official website. When run, AquaMark3 executes a complete state-of-the-art game engine and generates 3D scenes which, unlike other benchmarks, are designed to make the same demands of users' hardware as a modern game. It then outputs a set of scores giving a breakdown of the performance of different parts of the user's PC, calculated from how effectively the system managed to run the test. This score can then be compared to the scores of other PC users to see whether their hardware is configured for optimal performance.

AquaMark 3 will be released shortly and will be available to download from
