'Shadowbane' And 'Devastation' Ships To Stores

Ubi Soft Entertainment announced today that Shadowbane, the ground breaking massively-multiplayer online (MMO) game for both PC and Macintosh, has shipped to retailers in North America. Shadowbane was designed and developed by Wolfpack Studios, based in Austin, Texas, and is hosted and operated by ubi.com... ARUSH Entertainment and Groove Games today announced that developer Digitalo's first person shooter Devastation is shipping to North American retailers and will be on shelves this week at a MSRP of $39.99. The game features 22 huge singleplayer missions and a whopping 14 levels for multiplayer, plus the ability to choose to play in either Arcade mode or Simulation mode, each with varying degrees of difficulty.

Developed with the next-generation Unreal EngineĀ® technology and enhanced with Digitalo's own OFX particle system, Devastation pits a team of Resistance fighters against overwhelming armies of corporate shock-troopers in a relentless battle through a dark and desolate future Earth, trapped in a technological dark age. The singleplayer game plays through an intense storyline where linear story-driven missions dominate the first half, gearing players up for incredible dynamic gameplay as the final missions become more open-ended combat with a true team-centric focus.

Online multiplayer game types include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and a brand new team-based gamestyle called “Territories.” The game also ships with a full-featured editor so fans can build and play in their own maps with the most user-friendly interface ever developed. Devastation also incorporates MathEngine's Karma™ physics system, allowing for incredible ragdoll deaths and giving players the ability to interact with their environment. Players can pick up objects and move them around to block pathways, or throw items to cause distraction, or even make improvised weapons with lethal force.

“Devastation is a completely unbelievable experience,” said ARUSH Entertainment president and CEO Jim Perkins. “From its incredibly realistic graphics, to its
unique physics that enable you to grab practically anything and throw it at your enemies, you will feel like you are actually a member of the Resistance fighting
for your life in this dark, dangerous vision of the future.”
