Neverwinter Nights redefines the electronic role-playing game genre using the fully 3-D BioWare Aurora Engine and the Third Edition of the Dungeons & Dragons core rulebook. The game contains a 60- to 100-hour single-player campaign that is also playable in multiplayer mode.

Shadows of Undrentide is being co-developed by BioWare Corp. and FloodGate Entertainment, a developer comprised of several former Looking Glass Studios employees. It will feature a new 20+ hour single-player campaign, five brand new prestige classes, 3 all-new tilesets, as well as scores of new monsters, spells, feats, and skills. "XP2" is being developed solely by BioWare, and will include many new features, as well as an epic-level story-driven campaign catering to higher level characters.

Also under development at BioWare is Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, the first role-playing game in the Star Wars universe, to be published by LucasArts on both Microsoft Xbox and PC in June and Summer 2003, respectively. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic allows players to pursue the light or dark side of the Force, with many of her decisions having a direct impact on the storyline, as well as the entire universe.
