The Dynasty continues for KOEI Corporation and developer Omega Force as Animation Magazine named Dynasty Warriors the winner for Best Overall Game Animation at the 2003 Game Developers Conference in San Jose. The category represents the best use of animation in all aspects of game design. As Overall Winner, Dynasty Warriors series developer Omega Force will receive one seat of 3ds max courtesy of Discreet.

Animation Magazine asked their readers to select “The Best Game Animation of All Time” for their “Gamer’s Rad Pack.” The awards represent the very best in interactive entertainment animation as chosen by animation professionals and the video game public.

“We feel especially honored that this prestigious award was chosen by our peers in the interactive entertainment industry. The accolade is a testament not only to the talent of the world-class artists and animators at Omega Force, but also to the dedication of our fans. Thank you,” said Amos Ip, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at KOEI Corporation.

Dynasty Warriors, the award-winning Tactical Action series, is set amidst the treachery and romance of ancient China’s Three Kingdoms period. Since the series was first launched for the PlayStation in 1997, it has generated more than 3 million units in sales worldwide. Last year, KOEI’s Dynasty Warriors 3 was one of only six software products that were honored with the “Excellence Award” by Japan’s Computer Entertainment Software Association.

The next installment, Dynasty Warriors 4, ships the week of March 25, 2003. Available exclusively for the PlayStation¬ģ2 computer entertainment system, Dynasty Warriors 4 is rated “T” (Teen- Mild Language, Violence) by the ESRB. Consumers can preorder at ebgames.com, gamestop.com, and toysrus.com.
