A land-based "king-of-the-hill" style map for Battlefield: Pirates.Can you hold the center long enough to win?
On one of your recent excursions to your favorite tavern you met a man that claimed to have a map to one of Blackbeard's secret camps where it's rumored he buried a king's ransom in gold.
Unfortunately, after "relieving" him of his burden, you discover that he had made a copy that is now in the hands of your rivals.
The race is on. Who is gonna hold the camp long enough to dig for the treasure?
This map was supposed to come out with Battlefield: Pirates Alpha 0.2, but I'm releasing an early version of it now for two reasons:
- To give you a little more variety. (Scurvy Cove is getting a little old even for me.)
- It should give people a break from the incessant "flying" and restore some balance to the game, at least on this map.
This is a king-of-the-hill type of map. The center control point is captureable, but does not create any spawn points. Furthermore, if you leave (or all die) it goes back to being neutral, so hold the center if you want the enemies tickets to go down.
This map is land-based. No boats and no deep water, which hopefully means that no one will be able to use the flying cheat. We have tested this as much as possible and hope it works.
This map requires Battlefield: Pirates Alpha 0.11. There are no new units in order to keep the download as small as possible. Keep in mind that all units and structures are placeholders of things to come in Alpha 0.2, with lots of additional goodies yet to come:)
