"Counter-Strike is the number one action game in the world, generating more than 4.5 billion player minutes per month," said Dennis "Thresh" Fong, Chief Gaming Officer of Ultimate Arena and World Champion of Doom, Quake, and Quake 2. "These millions of Counter-Strike players who believe they've got game finally have a place to prove it at Ultimate Arena."

Players of all skill levels are welcome to compete against one another to win cash at Ultimate Arena. Players can fund their accounts with a credit card or PayPal and start playing to win money within minutes. Players are assigned a skill rating based on their performance and are matched up against similarly ranked players. Cash prizes for a tournament are determined by its entry fee which may start as low as 50 cents.

"Ultimate Arena already has over 10,000 users who have signed up to play Unreal Tournament, Unreal Tournament 2003, and America's Army," said Michael Cassidy, CEO of Ultimate Arena. "The addition of the wildly popular Counter-Strike will likely create a frenzy at our site."

Doug Lombardi, Valve's Director of Marketing, adds, "We know that a lot of Counter-Strike players will love the option of playing to win money at Ultimate Arena. It's an exciting new dimension to Counter-Strike gameplay."

Ultimate Arena is dedicated to providing a fun and fair experience for all players. On the technical front, Ultimate Arena works closely with game developers and other technology providers such as United Admins to ensure fair play. As a requirement to play, all players must have United Admins' Cheating-Death software running on their computers in order to connect to Ultimate Arena's servers. In addition, Ultimate Arena has developed the Ultimate Feedback System™ - a reputation system based on user feedback that hellps players determine whom they can trust in the community. Ultimate Arena also employs a staff of experts who can observe and administer cash matches.
