After two days of thrilling competition, the United Cyber Games Association (UCGA) has announced the winners of the Samsung World Cyber Games 2003 USA Tournament. The 17 gamers competed in regional qualifying and semi-final rounds across the country, and won in their respective categories at the Samsung World Cyber Games USA Finals, August 19th and 20th in Irvine, California.

Each winner at the U.S. Finals will receive a free trip to Seoul, Korea to compete as a member of Team USA at the WCG 2003 Grand Final event taking place in October. In Korea, Team USA will compete against the top gamers from 55 countries around the world for a share of $350,000 in cash and prizes. All of the participating U.S. finalists also received a state of the art PC and Samsung 19” Flat CRT monitor.

“We are very excited about this year’s U.S. team,” said Joe Moss, Executive Director of UCGA. “These competitors showed amazing skill and great sportsmanship in winning their respective games.
